Grandparent Mass & Brunch Reception
This second Sunday of Advent, we had the honor of celebrating mass and brunch with many of our Bergen Catholic Grandparents.
It was wonderful to welcome back, Rev. Dr. Robert McLaughlin from the class of 1994, as well as have resident, Br. Ben McDonough help guide us through this first ever event.
We had many students who participated in mass; audio/visual techs, piano player, lectors, candle and cross bearers, gift bearers, eucharistic ministers, and student ambassadors. There were three grandfather alumni in attendance; Richard G. Potter, Esq. ’74, Kevin Hart ’66, and Paul G. Angeli ’66, and many proud alumni fathers. Our sincerest thanks to Jackson Vonderhorst ’23, who provided the perfect voice for all of our young men in his Grandparent reflection.
Special thank you to Grandparent Mass committee members Lorna Oates-Santos CP ’25, Patti Polizzi-Walker CP ’25, Event Coordinator Mary Pitera, Danny Kurpick and his facilities team, Al Spiegel and his technology team, Matt Rosa and his student ambassador team, and Jerry Morano and his cafeteria/catering team, who all helped make this special event become a reality.

- If you have previously used LocalLive, enter your credentials. If you have never used LocalLive, click Register and complete the registration form.
- Set your default school to Bergen Catholic.
- Under the Events tab, change to Recent School Events.
- Select Grandparents Liturgy.
